Our Impact
The Little Hawk Alliance was created originally as a Parent Teacher Organization in 1994. Since it’s inception we have raised funds to support the Students, Families, Teachers and Staff of Mountlake Terrace Elementary School.
We had really strong fundraising engagement and grant receipts during the height of COVID. One of our highlights was having a Family Safety Net fund. This allowed us the ability to really help struggling families in partnership with school administration and the Student Intervention Coordinator.
These grants also allowed us to purchase inventory for use by teachers as well as during Little Hawk Alliance events. We invested in a “Diversity Book Collection” separate of the amazing inventory available in the MTE Library. We also invested almost $3000 in STEM games and toys for teachers to check out as well as to host after school STEM clubs and STEM family nights.
